This video shows you some great sources for free and open elevation data to use in your GIS projects and where to find them. This ranges from global datasets, like the SRTM, to high resolution (2m or higher) local datasets.

I cover some global sources (which include high resolution data for specific parts of the world), then move on to sources for data specific to the US and the UK and Ireland.

Look out soon for a detailed tutorial on some of the things you can do with your elevation data once you’ve got it!
